Waco Christian Academy's 12/3/25

We are offering courses now for our Homeschool Community. Beginning spring semester, 2026, homeschool students can take up to (3) courses a year without enrolling as a full-time student. Full time students have first availability, and WCA does value small class sizes. During the Spring semester we will be offering these courses to homeschool students in Algebra 1, Algebra2/3, and Geometry. We will also provide these options in English 1, 2/3. We are excited that Dr. Cody Westcott, the pastor at College Hill Methodist Church, and Professor at Asbury Seminary, will be offering "Introduction to the Old Testament" as an elective. WCA will offer instruction in these courses on site. Our administration will provide these courses as dual enrollment opportunities, reflecting completed courses on a WCA transcript. Our teachers are exceptionally qualified through the Kentucky Department of Education and/or ACSI. All courses will be taught with a Biblical Worldview. Please contact us if you wish your child to participate.

2/3/25 - by student Julie Brooke

Waco Christian Academy is a school that started just last year. This school is built on prayer and God's love. So far Waco Christian Academy has thirteen students and five teachers making a total of Eighteen people. This school offers an education, a future, and spiritual growth.

We value a Christian-based education at Waco Christian Academy. Our main curriculum is from Bob Jones University which teaches all the things needed to graduate. With these online courses, we have teachers who also help students with their education so that no one falls behind. WCA understands that some students would like to go ahead and get into dual credit so we also offer those classes. Within these two years, we have had Four classes completed all by freshmen who are continuing to take them as they move up the ladder. For our Physical education (PE), we go to the YMCA and Depot. We create goals and then plan how we want to achieve them. WCA is a credited school so that means we are no different than your average school when it comes to graduation.

This school offers dual enrollment classes and also gives KEES scholarship money. With Dual enrollment, each student gets to take a class that can help get them ahead for their future career especially if it requires college. These Dual enrollment classes are much cheaper than college itself so that means you can save money for other things. Where we offer KEES scholarship money which means your child gets paid for their grades as long as they are above a “C”. This money goes to your child if they plan to go to college in the future so once again you get to save money. We also have a class at the end of the day which is Life Skills where your kid learns to cook, write a check, or do anything that will help them with being a functioning adult.

As mentioned previously this is a Christian school so that means that we highly value spiritual growth. Each morning we have a class called Spiritual Formation. This class guides students through the bible and teaches them to study the bible themselves so that in the future they can become strong in their faith in Christ. With this, we read and study scripture and create mini devotions/sermons to present to the class. This also means your student has some public speaking they will do. This class helps students Spiritually, which benefits them above all things.

WCA is a school that offers three important things: an education, a future, and spiritual growth. This school offers the same things as your average school and even more. As a student who goes there, I can say that each teacher truly cares for their students and goes above and beyond for us.  After all, they are raising disciples for God's kingdom.
