Frequently Asked Questions

Waco Christian Academy (WCA) is a Christian school serving students in grades 7–12. We are committed to providing a Christ-centered education where faith and academic excellence walk together.

Our desire is to partner with families as students grow academically, spiritually, and personally while preparing for college, careers, ministry, and wherever God may lead them.

Yes. Waco Christian Academy is accredited by Cognia, an internationally recognized accrediting organization.

Accreditation reflects WCA’s commitment to educational quality, effective practices, and continuous improvement. It also provides families with the confidence of knowing that WCA operates according to recognized academic standards.

Waco Christian Academy currently serves students in grades 7–12.

No. One of the unique strengths of Waco Christian Academy is flexibility.

Depending on the student’s needs and circumstances, families may choose from full-time enrollment, part-time enrollment, or supplemental educational opportunities for homeschool students.

We encourage families to talk with us about their particular situation so we can help them explore the options available.

Yes! Waco Christian Academy is pleased to serve as a resource for homeschool families.

Homeschool students may be able to take individual courses through WCA while continuing their homeschool education. This can give families access to subjects, instruction, resources, and opportunities that may be difficult to provide independently.

Contact us to discuss your student’s needs and the options currently available.

Yes. Students do not necessarily have to enroll full-time to benefit from WCA.

Part-time and supplemental enrollment options allow families to select courses that complement their existing homeschool program. Availability may vary by course and school year, so we encourage families to contact us to discuss their needs.

Yes. Waco Christian Academy offers dual-credit opportunities that allow eligible high school students to work toward high school and college credit at the same time.

Dual credit can help students get an early start on college, experience college-level coursework, and potentially reduce the number of courses they will need after high school.

Contact us to learn more about the many dual-credit opportunities available to your student.

No. Waco Christian Academy serves families from Waco and surrounding communities, and some of our educational resources and opportunities can serve students beyond our immediate area.

If you are wondering whether WCA could be an option for your family, contact us. We would be glad to talk with you about what may be possible.

WCA combines academic excellence with a distinctly Christian educational environment.

We value relationships between students and teachers, flexibility for families, and an education grounded in biblical truth. Our goal is not simply to help students complete academic requirements, but to help prepare young people to live with wisdom, character, purpose, and faith.

At WCA, we believe faith and academic excellence can—and should—walk together.

Christian faith is an essential part of the identity and mission of Waco Christian Academy.

We believe education involves more than acquiring knowledge. Students should also grow in wisdom, character, responsibility, and their understanding of God’s truth. Our Christian worldview influences the way we teach, lead, serve students, and partner with families.

We are very proud of the teachers who serve at Waco Christian Academy. Our teachers bring valuable classroom experience to their roles, and our core academic classes are taught by fully credentialed teachers.

Just as importantly, our teachers understand that Christian education is about more than academics. They have the opportunity to invest in students personally and spiritually while helping them pursue academic excellence.

We believe excellent teachers are one of the most important investments we can make in our students.

Families’ circumstances and educational needs can change. Choosing Waco Christian Academy does not mean that you are closing the door to other educational options in the future.

Waco Christian Academy is an accredited school. This means that if you later decide to transfer your child to a public school or another accredited school, your child’s academic transcripts and records can transfer with them, just as they would when transferring from another accredited school.

Our goal is to provide families with both a high-quality Christian education and confidence in the academic record their student is building.

We believe every Christian family deserves access to an affordable, excellent education—without compromising either quality or faith.

For the 2026–2027 school year, full-time tuition for students in grades 7–12 is $4,200 per year, with a flexible 10-month payment plan available.

That is approximately $5,300 less per year than the average tuition for private schools in Kentucky.

How are we able to keep tuition affordable? Waco Christian Academy is supported by people who believe in our mission and invest generously in our students.

During the 2025–2026 school year:

61.3% of WCA’s budget was provided through donations and fundraising.

38.7% was provided through tuition and fees.

In other words, tuition covers less than half of the actual cost of operating WCA. The generosity of churches, individuals, businesses, families, and other partners helps us keep Christian education accessible while continuing to invest in academic quality.

Part-time, homeschool supplemental, and other educational opportunities have different costs. Contact us and we would be glad to discuss the options available for your family.

We still encourage you to contact us.

Families’ circumstances can change during the year, and sometimes parents begin looking for different educational options after school has already started. Depending on space, courses, and the student’s circumstances, options may still be available.

Don’t assume it is too late. Talk with us and let us help you explore your options.

The best way to find out is to have a conversation with us.

Every student and every family is different. Tell us about your student’s academic needs, interests, goals, challenges, and the type of educational environment you are looking for. We can explain the options WCA offers and help you determine whether one of them may be a good fit.

Contact Waco Christian Academy and tell us a little about your student and what you are looking for.

Whether you are considering full-time Christian education, part-time enrollment, homeschool support, dual-credit opportunities, or simply exploring your options, we would be glad to talk with you.

Your student’s education is an important decision. You don’t have to figure out all the options alone. Let’s talk.
